The Vikings wrestling team won a match and lost a match at the Spring Lake Park Triangular meet Feb. 8.

First, the Vikings fell to Foley 53-18.

"This was a solid effort for us. Foley is a state-ranked team with a bunch of really tough kids. Though the score got a little ugly, we were really happy with the individual matches," head coach Tony Aho said. "John Morrison showed why we think he is going to be a force in the heavyweight class in the very near future.

Against Spring Lake, the Vikings were able to get the upper hand by eight points in a 40-32 win.

"We were very happy with the effort we received from Chad Anderson. He has been working hard , but has not had a lot of wins so it was great to see some of his hard work pay off," Aho said.
