Ralph Lewis Kusserow age 42 died unexpectedly from illness at his home in Harris, Minn., on Saturday, February 10, 2007. Ralph was born in Detroit Lakes on March 18, 1964 where he grew up, attended schools, and graduated in 1982.

He worked at County Market, Lakes TV, and Herzog's Roofing before moving to New Mexico, where he worked in construction. Ralph lived and worked in Colorado before returning to the Twin Cities, Minn., area. He worked in hotel management, and then started his own handyman service. Ralph married Julie Faust in 1996. They moved to Harris, Minn., where he continued his business. Ralph loved the outdoors and enjoyed many wilderness camping trips. He was a skilled craftsman and could repair and build almost anything.

Survivors include daughter Valerie Kusserow Jr., Harris, Minn., son Tony Faust, St. Paul, Minn., stepfather, Donald K. Barnard, Apache Junction, Ariz, sisters; Debbie (Curt) Prader, Dilworth, Minn., and Valerie (James) Voigt, Detroit Lakes, Minn., brothers; Kenneth Eide Jr. (Rita), Petersburg, Ind., Steve (Connie) Kusserow, Colorado Springs, Colo., Terry (Deborah) Kusserow, Rio Rancho, N.M., several aunts, uncle, nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, Kenneth A Kusserow, (1985) and his mother, Ruth Kusserow Barnard (2000).

A memorial service is planned for Friday, February 23, 2007 at 4 p.m., with visitation one hour before, at the Harris Covenant Church, 43680 Gates Ave. at the corner of Highway 10, Harris, MN 55032, (651)-674-7565 with Pastor Neil Bonkoski officiating.
