Tigers overwhelmed by Aitkin, Barnum
By Steve Morris
It's been a bumpy ride for the Rush City girls basketball team and last week was no different as the girls dropped games against Barnum and Aitkin.
On Feb. 13, the girls were overthrown by Barnum 64-27.
Barnum was hot from behind the arc, hitting nine of 15 three -point attempts.
Laura Kay was a bright spot for the Tigers and played "great interior defense," head coach Jeremy Albright said.
The Tigers committed 23 turnovers in the loss.
Senior Amber Hoffman paced the girls with six points.
"I thought we played extremely hard against Barnum,"
Albright said. "Barnum's combination of size and outside shooting was just too much for us to handle."
