Girls fall to Pine City; Onamia

Hampered by poor shooting, the Rush City girls basketball team closed out the their January schedule with a loss on the road to Pine City 56-35.
Senior Bethany Peters had 10 points, eight rebounds and four steals for the Tigers.
"We got ourselves into a big hole at the beginning of the game," head coach Jeremy Albright said. "We had good shots, they just wouldn't drop."

On the first day of February the girls surrendered to Onamia 59-26.
Senior Amber Hoffman had a team-high 10 points to go along with three steals and 2 assists.
Peters followed with eight points and 10 rebounds.
"We struggled shooting the ball, but we worked hard; I was happy with that," Albright said.
