RC unbeaten in conference

The Tigers remain unbeaten in the Great River Conference with a four-point win over Hinckley-Finlayson Jan. 5.
After several lead changes, the scored was settled at 70-66.
Junior center Isaac Roll led Rush City in points and in rebounds. He finished with a career high 21 points on eight of 12 from the floor. Roll also added nine rebounds.
The game was close all game. The Tigers finished the first half ahead 31-27.
"The first half involved various lead changes," head coach Gary Dreissig said.
As the game progressed, Rush City put together a 16-point lead only to have it come crumbling down when Hinckley cut the lead to three. However, the Tigers managed to keep Hinckley at bay and pulled off the conference win.
Senior Jeff Jennings ended the game with a team high seven assists.
"It was an excellent high school basketball game against two evenly matched teams," Dreissig said.
Rush City scoring: John Kirchberg 4, Jake Bosman 12, Justin Bosman 7, Jeff Jennings 8, Nick Behrendt 3, Jerred Nelson 15, Isaac Roll 21.
