Fairview Lakes Regional Hospital in Wyoming welcomed its New Year's baby Tuesday, Jan. 2, at 9:02 a.m. when Jennifer and Josh Olson of North Branch brought their first child, Olivia Elise Olson, into the world. Although a little early, Olivia weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces and was 19 inches long. Behind the happy family is a basket of items donated by 22 local businesses. Pat Rogowski, treasurer of the Fairview Lakes Auxiliary, presented the basket which had items for the entire family and a savings bond for the baby. Obstetrician Sondra Mericle was the attending physician. The pink afghan Olivia is wrapped in was handmade by one of the Fairview Lakes' obstetrical nurses.
