Local award-winning artist Katherine Salverda's (pictured) commissioned painting of an oak savanna was unveiled at a special program Saturday morning while many Friends of the NB Library looked on.
The artwork hangs over the large fireplace as an addition to the welcoming environment of the library.
The picture, which includes five of the original flowers found in the oak savanna, depicts what the NB area once looked like.
Former county commissioner Lora Walker was given a plaque for her part in getting a new library for North Branch.
