TO THE EDITOR:

Lesson number 1: the city of (your city) has no money.

Lesson number 2: the county of (your county) has no money.

Lesson number 3: the state (your state) has no money.

Lesson number 4: the Federal Government (or Congress) has no money.

Lesson number 5: Any time (every time!) elected officials at each of these levels of government tell you that they will give you something reach quickly for your billfold, your checkbook or your purse because they will be handing you your own money that they must first confiscate from you by way of taxes you pay.
