First ever National Night Out in Rush City

The First Rush City National Night Out Celebration will be on Tuesday, Aug. 7 at the City Park in downtown Rush City.
The event will be hosted by the Public Safety Committee of Rush City.
Events begin at 6:30 p.m. and last until 8:30 p.m. There will be free t-shirts to the first 50 people at the Rush City Fire Department Ladder Truck. Additional t-shirts will be for sale for $10 to raise funds for next year. These National Night Out t-shirts were donated by the Rush City Lion's Club. There will be a short presentation at 7 p.m. by Chisago County Attorney, Janet Reiter and Mayor Jim Ertz.
Free hot dogs and beverages; many free items will be given away by Chisago County Sheriff's Dept., Rush City Eagles and other local business and groups.
A door prize drawing will be held at 8:15 p.m. for several donated items.
Come join the fun, meet your neighbors and find out about your community.
There will be representatives and displays from the Chisago County SWAT Team, K-9 Unit, Sheriff's Department, EMT, DNR, National Guard Unit, Rush City Chamber, Rush City Lions, Rush City Jaycees, Rush City Park Board, First Lutheran Youth and many more.
