Kudos to the Green Acres staff

TO THE EDITOR:

Kudos to the Green Acres Country Care Center staff for rising to the occasion of moving to "The Villages," the beautiful new home for residents. All custodians, cooks, nurses, aides, administration and office staff deserve hardship-duty pay for their efforts.

Those of us who have moved our own families to new homes even once can't begin to appreciate the logistics of moving so many residents, staff, files, equipment, etc. Suffice it to say the Green Acres staff packed hundreds of boxes, worked long hours, and got many a headache to get the job done.

In addition to the stress any of us experience during a move, the Green Acres employees  met additional demands to be trained in new service procedures, all the while continuing dedicated, loving care of residents.

I'm sure it was really tough on all concerned and now everyone would just like to relax and sip a cup of coffee. But, the work goes on in helping residents make the transition to their new digs.

If I were a millionaire, I'd send all of the staff to Disneyworld!
