Adrian Perrault
Adrian B. Perrault, age 83 of North Branch was born on January 28, 1924 in Beaulieu, Minn., to Henry and Margaret (Bellanger) Perrault. He lived in many different areas while growing up and eventually graduated from Red Lake High School. Shortly thereafter he joined the U.S. Army and served his country during WWII seeing duty in the Pacific Theatre. He married Shirley Watson on May 28, 1949 at the Blessed Sacrament Church in St. Paul. They began their life together living on the East Side of St. Paul. They later moved to Maplewood where they lived for 17 years before moving to North Branch where the family has resided for 37 years.
Adrian started driving truck in 1949 and he continued that as his life work for 38 years mostly with Consolidated Freightways. He was a member of Forest Lake VFW Post #4210 and was a former commander. He was a member of the Teamsters Local #544; he was also a member of the North Branch Saddle Club for many years and later in life he took up golf which he really enjoyed. In retirement he also worked as a shuttle bus driver at the Casino in Hinckley.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Winger of Hugo; sons, Ron (Karin) of North Branch; Steve (Diane) of North Branch; Phil (Julie) of Birchwood, Wisc., Roger (Cheryl) of North Branch; Gerald (Coleen) of Lindstrom; and Mark of North Branch; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; sisters, Patricia Rath of Defiance, OH; Barbara Strumstad of Cass Lake; and Jude "Penny" Kegel of Minneapolis. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley in 1998; brother, Roland "Bud"; sisters, Doris, Donna and Margaret "Peggy."
Mass of Christian Burial was Saturday, July 21, 2007 at St. Gregory's Catholic Church in North Branch with Fr. Xavier Thelakkatt and Decon Tom Langlois officiating. Music was provided by Cathie Hendren and Tabitha Johnson. Serving as pallbearers were David Perrault, Jeffrey Perrault, Greg Perrault, Tim Perrault, Peter Perrault, Brandon Langstrom and Eric Perrault. Honorary Pallbearer was Jared Perrault. Interment is at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in North Branch. Arrangements are under the direction of Grandstrand Funeral Home of North Branch.
