TO THE EDITOR:

June 24-30 is Farm Bureau Week in Minnesota. Plan to help us promote a strong voice for our rural communities by supporting Farm Bureau with a family or business membership.

Our Chisago County Farm Bureau has been very active in 2007. We've had three bi-monthly meetings, attended Day on the Hill March 21 at the state capitol and visited our legislators.

We will have a booth at the Chisago County Fair July 11-15. Our safety trailer will be on display. Stop, visit and sign up for prizes. We will be supporting our 4-H and FFA youth at the annual auction Saturday, July 14 at the Rush City Fairgrounds,

In August we plan on meeting with our local elected officials. Chisago County Farm Bureau's annual meeting will be held September 13 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Almelund. A fantastic free home-cooked meal is provided. We have interesting speakers, presentations of county resolutions, board elections and lots of door prizes. Mark your calendar now and plan to attend.
