Good Soil farmers' market is open for the season in NB

Posted: 7/3/07

The Good Soil Farmers' Market opened its season in downtown North Branch's Central Park a little earlier this year. "We thought the first day of summer (June 21) was the perfect day to open our 2007 Market," said Market Manager, Jill Gustafson. "There is so much beautiful produce right now!"

Along with fresh cut, annual and perennial flowers, the market presently features all the early harvest crops (some organically grown) and more from herbs, berries, lettuces, new potatoes, radishes and spring onions to landscape trees, shrubs and local honey. New this year, the market offers organically produced breads, muffins and other good things from the Koep's Village Bakery in North Branch. Emu products will be available in July and as the season progresses into late summer and fall, edible selections will change with the harvests.

Visit the Farmers' Market in North Branch every Thursday beginning at 4 pm. For more information call (651) 237-0223.
