Benefit will help young dad, still time to donate
TO THE EDITOR:
Nearly 100 people turned out on Monday, June 18 for the Wurdemann Family Chiropractic 2nd Annual Father's Day Picnic in North Branch. The picnic, a benefit for Jonathan and Caleb Sherry, was a rousing success! We enjoyed a delicious BBQ meal by Spectacular Events Catering, terrific bluegrass music from Nathan and Jessica Wilson, and a great silent auction on a beautiful summer evening. This year, the picnic honored new dad, Jonathan Sherry, as he faces the challenge of raising a son at a young age.
Thank you to the practice members and local businesses from Cambridge and North Branch that donated items to the silent auction: Roger Heroux, the Forsman family, Elizabeth Watkins of Pampered Chef, Fernwood Developers, MinnCo Credit Union, Euphoria Massage & Bodywork and Xtreme Tree Service. They helped us raise more than $250 for little Caleb. Many others brought gifts for Caleb - diapers, baby toys, clothing, blankets, bounce chairs, and so much more. All the donations to this young dad and his son reflect the kindness and generosity of this wonderful community. Thank you!
If you missed the picnic and would like to donate baby items or to give a financial gift to Jonathan and Caleb, we will continue collecting donations at the office of Wurdemann Family Chiropractic, 6368 Elm St., North Branch, (across from Nelson's Grocery) through June 30. Thanks again to everyone who helped make the benefit such a successful event.
