Sunrise River Elementary School Fourth grade teacher Julie Roman (center) has been named the White Bear Lake Sam's Club Teacher of the Year. Representatives from Sam's Club honored Roman at an all-school assembly on May 29. They presented Roman with a $1,000 check for the school as well as a Teacher of the Year smock and personal gift certificates. As a winner, Roman's name and application will be forwarded for state and national levels for Sam's Club Teacher of the Year recognition.
