The Chisago County Park system and how it developed will be the topic of discussion by county parks director Laird Mork at the April 3 meeting of the North Chisago Historical Society. The meeting is at 7 p.m. at Rushseba Town Hall in Rush City, north of the Grant House on Forest Blvd near the city garage.

Mork will share an overview of the park system, how it started and evolved.

Using a map and video, he will show park locations, special features and the benefits parks provide.

He will talk about the history of the individual sites, including how the land was procured. Mork will talk about current projects and comprehensive plans for the Rush City area.

A short business meeting and election of officers will precede the presentation. Refreshments will be served. The public is welcome.
