Classes will be held in Chisago on April 10, 17, and 24, from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Chisago Lakes Information Center.

Over the time span of three nights, you will learn about qualifying for a mortgage and financing a home, budget and credit issues, real estate, the closing process, basic home maintenance and affordable mortgage products that may be available to first-time home buyers.

Central Minnesota Housing Partnership (CMHP), a non-profit organization providing affordable housing services to the central region of Minnesota, coordinates the Home Stretch workshop.

Some affordable mortgage products, first-time home buyer products and government loans may require a buyer to receive a Home Stretch certificate.

There is a $25 fee to participate in Home Stretch and registration is required. To register for the Chisago Home Stretch class in April, call CMHP at (320) 259-0393. If you need more information, please call Hanna Folland at (320) 259-0393.
