NB Music Boosters Swing Gala rescheduled
Posted: 3/7/07
The North Branch Music Booster Club has rescheduled its evening of fun, laughter and community involvement to Sat., March 31. The event had been scheduled for last week but was cancelled due to weather. The doors open at 6:30 p.m.
The Swing Dance Gala in 2006 was a success with over 160 people of all ages. The comments from the 2006 event included hearing from Sheryl Read-Slaughter. She said, "It was a great event which gave people the opportunity to do something different. The atmosphere was beautiful and the food was fabulous."
The one comment the Music Booster Club did hear is they wanted to hear more live music from the high school musicians and so this year they will be providing that to you. They are also adding the silent auction to add some extra activity to this evening.
Barry Zumwalde, the high school band director, also said, "This is a great chance for family and friends to have a night out and have some great family quality time."
Mr. and Mrs. Tom McLaughlin will be teaching the East Coast Swing. The Swing Dance Gala, dinner, and silent auction will be on Sat., March 31, at the North Branch High School Commons. The dinner begins at 7 p.m. and the dance starts at 8 p.m. Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at your local North Branch Holiday stores, Nelsons' Market, Cool Beanz or you may call Chris Beam at (651) 674-1919. Dance only tickets are available at the door for $15.
This is a healthy way for everyone to get out and be active. Invite grandparents, aunts, uncles, neighbors and friends. Maybe you want to have a special night out with a group or as a couple. Music is fun!
