TO THE EDITOR:

We apologize to anyone who drove to North Branch for our Gardening Bonanza only to find that it was cancelled. The decision was made after three speakers had called to say they would not be able to be there Saturday morning. These were classes that a lot of people had registered for in advance. We knew many people would be able to make it to the event on Saturday, but would have been disappointed to find classes cancelled.

We called everyone who had pre-registered, notified WCCO and KBEK and changed the office voice mail to notify people.

Some of the same speakers will be included in our spring class series. The first class will be on Saturday, March 24 from 9 a.m. - noon at the Senior Center in North Branch. There will be three one-hour sessions presented on vegetable gardening. Brochures will be available soon. You can call the Extension office at (651) 674-4417 to be sure one is mailed to you.

This would have been our 9th year of hosting this event. For future reference, if you have pre-registered, you will be notified if an event is cancelled. We will also change the office voice mail (651) 674-4417 ext.13 if it is necessary to make a change to an event.
