Rush City junior high speech team ends season

Members of the Rush City Junior High Speech team ended another successful season with the Two Rivers Conference meet in Ogilvie on Thursday, February 8, 2007. Other meets the team attended were in Milaca, Pine City, Onamia, and Hinckley/Finlayson. At the Two Rivers Conference meet the team finished 4th out of 9 teams. In Extemp Reading, Marissa Belau finished 2nd. Chelcie Gamache finished 2nd in Great Speeches. In Humorous Poetry Heidi Ringer finished 6th and Sophie Bossart finished 5th. Danny Gagnon finished 1st in Informative. In Duet Acting Lindsey Kuhlman and Ashley Strenke finished 6th, Brook Hein and Matt Strenke finished 5th and Bethany Crawford and Megan Gilliland finished 1st.
Members of the Senior High Speech team and former Junior High Speech members judged at the junior high meets. Those students who volunteered their time to judge were: Celine Bossart, Ben Cook, Courtney Darland, Rachel Erickson, John Gamache, James Seegebarth, and Kyle Tidd. Mrs. Guentzel, the Junior High Speech coach, wishes to thank all of the judges.
