Rush City pounds St. John's Prep by 19 runs

The Rush City baseball team unleashed the power of their bats against St. John's Prep April 27. After everything was said and done, the Tigers beat St. John's Prep 20-1.
The Tiger's Tom Waters pitched his first varsity game. Head coach Bob Schlagel said the sophomore did a nice job on the mound for his first time out. He pitched four innings, giving up three hits, while striking out two and giving up one run.
The win was the Tigers fifth overall. Everyone got in on the hitting action for Rush City. Josh Ehrreich and Jake Bosman both recorded three hits in the win. Bosman also led the team with four RBI's on the game. In total, the Tigers had 16 hits on the game.
Head coach Bob Schlagel said he was pleased with how his team played defense.
"Our defense was solid," he said.
The Tigers scattered their 16 hits across five innings of play.
Up next, the Tigers will Aitkin on Thursday and Moose Lake/Willow River on Friday.
