At its April 21 concert, performed with the Cambridge-Isanti High School Concert Choir and the North Branch Area High School choirs, the East Central Minnesota Chorale presented Jillian Boyce, a senior at North Branch High School, with a $500 college scholarship.

The annual scholarship goes to a graduating senior who plans to participate in choral music at the college level. Boyce plans to attend St. Cloud State next fall.

At the recent concert each choir performed individually, and then enmasse with the Civic Orchestra of Minneapolis, doing Cary John Franklin's setting of Gloria. Franklin directed the chorus and orchestra as the grand finale to this concert.
