On Thursday, May 3, the Minnesota Correctional Facility (MCF)-Rush City will conduct an Incident Command System (ICS) Mutual Aid Drill from approximately 4 p.m. to 11 p.m.

The drill is closed to the public, and no routine admission to the grounds of the facility will be allowed. 

Elements of the drill include smoke and fire from a simulated helicopter crash, search of the area for potential escapees, and hostage negotiation.

ICS drills provide a training opportunity for facility staff and local assisting agencies who would respond should the facility experience an emergency situation such as a riot, fire, plane crash, or escape.
