A Monday morning gas leak forced the evacuation of all businesses at 6063 Main Street in North Branch.

According to North Branch Fire Chief Don Brown, China Taste restaurant had to be entered through a window when the business owners could not be reached.

The leak was caused by a stove burner that had been left on inadvertently overnight. Although gas concentrations were of concern, they never reached dangerous levels.
