There were some tense moments in Amador Twsp. Monday afternoon, as a man armed with a rifle was reported to have been firing shots both inside and outside his parents' home at 41218 Nelson Road.
According to a press release from Chisago County Sheriff Todd Rivard, the call came at around 3:18 p.m., and multiple units from the Chisago County Sheriff's Office, the North Branch Police Department, the State Highway Patrol, and the Wyoming Police Department, responded when it was learned that 26-year-old Bryan Lane Henrichs had made threats and was waving the gun at persons inside the home.
According to Rivard, there are believed to have been three others in the home with Henrichs, including his girlfriend. Rivard confirmed that Henrichs pointed the rifle at his girlfriend while inside the house. Because of the others, and because Henrichs was reported to have stated he would shoot police who came to the scene, the county SWAT team was called out. However, just as they were arriving Henrichs was arrested without incident by Cpl. Jason Foster of the Sheriff's Office.
Henrichs was transported to Cambridge Hospital and evaluated before being transported to the Chisago County Jail the morning of Nov. 13. He was booked for reckless discharge of a firearm, second degree assault, and property damage.
The case remains under investigation.
