Pine City will celebrate the beginning of the holiday season during the annual Holiday Madness with Christmas Carol Parade Friday, Nov. 30. The event will feature all the trimmings of a festive holiday opening.
New this year will be the Mr. & Mrs. Santa pictures from 4:30 -- 5:30 p.m. at the City Hall Community Room. Pictures will be taken for $2 and they will be available for pickup at the Cornerstone Photography studio following the Christmas Carol Parade.
The parade begins at 6 p.m. Entries will travel from Pine Technical College, north on Hwy. 61 to 3rd Ave SE, then go to Robinson Park in downtown Pine City. The parade features a variety of lighted floats.
The lighting of the Christmas tree in Robinson Park will take place during the 7 p.m. activities which include caroling and drawings for prizes. Pine City Youth Hockey is selling wreaths and swags in the park for their annual fund-raiser. Toys for Tots and the Pine Community Food Shelf will also be in the park during this time to accept your donations.
The highlight of this year's event will be the campfires, music and outdoor movie presentation. The evening is sure to have something for every member of your family to enjoy this year.
