Holiday in the Park includes lots of activities

This year the Rush City Area Chamber is working with the Rush City Schools and the Rush City Lions Club to combine Santa Days and Holiday Extravaganza as one celebration, "Holiday in the Park" on Dec. 1 from 4-7 p.m. in the Rush City Park. This celebration has many exciting and fun events planned including:
• Santa's Sleigh Ride -- Santa will take approx. 10 children at a time for a ride in a horse drawn wagon/sleigh and give them gifts.
• Business Lighting Contest in Rush City
• Lighted trees, business district, and Park
• Lighting ceremony at 6 p.m.
• Carolers and musical groups in the park
• 6th grade Choir from 4:30-5 p.m.
• High School Choir and Ensembles from 5-6 p.m.
• 6-7 p.m. Community Caroling in park area
• Hot cocoa, cookies, popcorn and Christmas trees for sale
• Santa's Shop in the Schneider Building
• Children's Crafts and Games
• Community Dinner at Catholic Church
• Possible Live Nativity
• Quilt Guild
• Other events possible
