Faith Eileen Jensen was born the third of four children to Feargus and Elizabeth (Smith) Brackenbury on July 30, 1923 in Pine City, Minn. Faith grew up on the family farm in the area and attended Pine City schools.

On Dec. 6, 1945, Faith married George Jensen of Rutledge, Minn., and together they had four children. Faith and George divorced in June 1960. Faith moved to Duluth where she resided with her children from 1959 to 1965 when the family moved to North Minneapolis. At that time, Faith obtained her GED in 1967 and was employed as a file clerk with the Bureau of Engraving for over nine years. In 1979 she moved to the Rutledge/Sandstone area. In 1998, faith relocated to Zimmerman, Minn., to be closer to her family.

Faith enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bird watching, jigsaw puzzles, and many more activities.

After years of ailing health, Faith spent the last seven months of her life residing at the Golden LivingCenter for aging adults located in Rush City, Minn. Faith's Christianity was an important part of her life and she attended services regularly when her health permitted. Faith died on November 16, 2007 at the Fairview Northland Hospital in Princeton, Minn., at the age of 84 years old.

Faith is survived by her four children: David (Gladys) Jensen of Plymouth, Minn.; Thorvald Jensen of Edina, Minn.; Donald (Laurie) Jensen of Harris, Minn.; and Linda (Larry) Butau of Zimmerman, Minn.; eight grandchildren: Patti Kohl, David Jensen Jr., Shawn Jensen, Anthony Jensen, Kari Jensen (Tony Bye), Becky Jensen. Randi (Todd) Jackson, and Tammy Butau; eight great -grandchildren; one brother: Bill (Betty) Brackenbury of Brook Park, Minn.; on sister-in-law: Alvina Brackenbury of Kerkkoven, Minn.; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and numerous friends. Faith was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Forrest Brackenbury and Louis Brackenbury, and sister-in-law Gertrude "Gert" Brackenbury.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2007 at the Swanson Funeral Chapel of Pine City with Pastor Lyn Sahr officiating. Casketbearers were David Jensen, Thor Jensen, Donald Jensen, Todd Jackson, Larry Butau, and Robert Brackenbury. Interment was in the Brook Park Cemetery.

Arrangements were entrusted to the Funeral and Cremation Service - Olson Chapel of Rush City.
