Jonn Dinnies, PA-C, joins SCRMC medical staff

After 20 years of serving patients in Polk and Burnett Counties, Jonn Dinnies, PA-C has joined the River Valley Medical Group, effective Oct. 16. Dinnies will be practicing at SCRMC's St. Croix Falls Clinic. His medical special interests include family medicine, urgent care, and sports medicine.

Born and raised in Shell Lake, Dinnies has been an active community member and health care provider in this area since 1987, when he moved to Frederic from the Twin Cities. He spent two years with the Ramsey-Clinic in Frederic then another year with the Grantsburg Clinic, before opening the Luck Medical Clinic in October 1990 and operating it for 12 years. The Luck Medical Clinic was then purchased in 2002 by the Amery Regional Medical Center, where Dinnies has continued to practice. He has also served Polk County as Coroner/Medical Examiner since 2002.

Dinnies completed his training as a Physician Assistant at the Hahnemann University School of Medicine/ Allied Health in Philadelphia, Penn., graduating in May of 1983. He is certified in primary care with the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). In addition, he is currently a member of the Wisconsin Academy of Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Wisconsin Coroner's /Medical Examiner's Association.

Dinnies, who is married and lives in Luck with his three children, says that he is "very excited about the opportunity to work with the physicians and numerous consulting specialists that serve the SCRMC."
