Go on a musical Canadian canoe adventure
Posted: 10/10/07
Join husband and wife team Tom Anderson and Nancy Conger as they tell, show, and put musical notes to a northern canoe adventure. The program will be a visual and musically illustrated canoe voyage down the Gladys River in northern British Columbia, before fishing in the Yukon Territory.
For nearly three weeks, Anderson, Conger, and two Yukon friends paddled the serene and lively waters of the Gladys River. Along the way they feasted on solitude, spectacular beauty and lake trout, grayling, pike, and a variety of berries mushrooms and wild salad greens and teas. Learn the story of how their party came to name a canyon through which the river raced.
The Wild River Audobon program is scheduled for 7 p.m. Mon., Oct. 15 at the Chisago Lakes Library. The library is located at 11754 302nd Street.
The public is invited.
