Learn about stave churches of Norway

This will be the program for the October meeting of Sons of Norway, Vennelag 1-546, on Tue., Oct. 16, 7:30 p.m. at the Lindstrom Community Center.
The program for the evening will include a 30-minute documentary film about the building of a full-scale replica of a 900-year old Norwegian stave church in Moorhead.
W. Dale Ruff, the senior project architect who guided the replication and construction process, will present the story about building an exact replica of the Hopperstad Stavkirke located in Vik, Norway. He will also tell us about the origin of the unique Stave churches. Over 1,000 were built in Norway between 900 and 1350 A.D.
Host and hostesses for the evening will be Jerry and Sylvia Wavrin and Mercedes Tolzmann.
