Tattoo shop arrives in NB

North Branch's newest business is ready to make a lasting impression.
Serious Ink opened in North Branch Sept. 15 and offers tattoos, body piercing and permanent cosmetics.
The store is located in the basement of the Main Street Center and is one of two shops with the same name. The other shop is located in Fridley on East River Road and has been opened for nine years.
Matto, one of the artists at the North Branch shop, specializes in new school and gray-wash style tattooing. Matto has been tattooing for the last five years.
Ashley Riley, another of the shops artists, specializing in oriental and Japanese style art.
Riley said he likes to work with people and design one-of-kind custom art.
Riley and Matto have more than 18 years of experience in the business.
"We really love what we do," Riley said.
Aside from tattoos, the shop offers permanent cosmetics or permanent makeup and piercings.
"You name it, you can get it pierced. We can do anything," Matto said.
The shop is licensed by the state of Minnesota and is certified by the American Red Cross.
The store is open Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and walk-ins are welcome with a minimum price of $60 for a tattoo.
