Vivian N. Koecher, age 83 of Fargo, formerly of North Branch/Weber area was born on January 18, 1924 in Columbia Heights to Elmer and Lillian (Perkins) Walker. She was raised in Edina and at the age of 13 moved with her family to Benedict, North Dakota. She later moved to Peoria, Illinois and married Arvid T. Lindee. They lived in many parts of the United States as Arvid was in the military. Arvid passed away in 1961 and Vivian later married Martin Koecher and they resided in Weber. After Martin passed away in 1980 Vivian spent time living in St. Francis before moving to Fargo in 1991 where she remained until her death on Sept. 5 at her home.

She liked to garden, going to thrift stores, crafting and spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by her children, Carl (Koren) Lindee of Glencoe; Arthur (Wilma) Lindee of Bemidji; LeRoy Lindee of Fargo, ND; Michael (Veberlyn) Lindee of Columbia Heights; Chris (Nancy) Koecher of Rush City; Sue (James) Shand of Cambridge; Nancy (Scott) Gilliland of Rush City; Lucy (Scott) Dantzcher of Virginia Beach, VA; brothers, Dean Walker of North Branch; James (Josephine) Walker of Minneapolis; Jack (Rose) Walker of North Branch; 19 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Robert Lindee; daughter, Anna Lindee; sisters Clara Grauman and Lucille Olson; brother, Howard Walker.

Funeral services were 11 am Monday, Sept 10 at Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch with Pastoral Intern Chad Loree officiating. Interment was at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery in Weber.

Arrangements were under the direction of Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch.
