Pine City topples Tigers in four

The Rush City volleyball team fell to its neighbor to the south in four matches Sept. 4.
It marked the girl's second loss of the season.
The girls played well in the first match, winning 25-19, but then took a path down the road of no return, losing the next three matches.
"We served tough in game one and two, then it became our weakness," head coach Eric Telander said.
Senior Jasirae Novak went 7-8 serving with two aces, 24 attack attempts and four kills.
"We have to make this a learning experience. When we get down, they have to be able to pick themselves up. I can't do it for them," Telander said.
