Joni L. (Beckman) Borowick died on Friday, September 14, 2007 at her home in Rush City after a three year battle with health problems related to respiratory failure. She was 26 years of age.

Joni was born on March 7, 1981 in St. Paul to Ronald and Linda (Carlson) Beckman. The family moved to the Cambridge/Isanti area shortly thereafter and Joni grew up there and graduated from Cambridge-Isanti High School in 1999. Shortly thereafter she met Eric Borowick and they were married on December 14, 2006 in Cambridge.

She loved art, drawing, collecting Angels and the group "Green Day." She was always able to put a smile on your face with her friendly personality and truly cared for others despite her own health problems she dealt with in her life.

She is survived by her husband, Eric Borowick of Rush City; parents, Ronald and Linda Beckman of Braham; brothers, Jerry (Annie) and their daughter, Jaiyd of Cambridge; Jonathan and Joseph of Braham; Maternal Grandmother, Laura Carlson of St. Paul; Paternal Grandmother, Leona Beckman of Maplewood; many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Everett and Irving.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 17 at the Cambridge United Methodist Church with Pastor Bill Berg officiating. Visitation was prior to the service at church on Monday. Private family interment will take place later.

Arrangements are under the direction of Grandstrand Funeral Home of North Branch.
