TO THE EDITOR:

I'm writing this letter to thank North Branch Middle School and North Branch Area Community Education for hosting the Camp Invention program this summer. There has been much discussion recently regarding the need to better educate the next generation of professionals to fill a void in the fields of math and science. The Camp Invention program hopes to help meet that challenge by inspiring creativity and a passion for science in elementary students. I especially want to applaud the outstanding work of camp director Jeanne Leland, her talented local teaching staff, and the creative students in North Branch.
