The Rush City volleyball team won its first game of the season in a three-match nail bitter against Barnum Aug. 28.
Senior Brittany Scheffer had five aces on 15 attempts and Megan Drevecky had four kills in the win.
"It was great to get our first win. It is important for our confidence," head coach Eric Telander.
The girls were not able to reproduce a win for their next game, as they lost to East Central in four matches on Aug. 30.
The Tigers were able to hang in for most of the matches, but fell apart as the matches progressed.
Drevecky had 14 set assists on the night.
"We played a tough team tonight. We are not going to hand out heads," Telander said.
