During February, Fairview Lakes Medical Center, Wyoming, will celebrate its 10th anniversary.

At 6:30 p.m. Mon., Feb. 11, it will kick off that celebration with an appearance by nationally recognized author and speaker Dr. David Walsh of the National Institute on Media and the Family. The program is free; however, advance reservations are required, and seating will be strictly limited to those registered. To make your reservation, call Fairview OnCall, (612) 672-7272. Dr. Walsh, who has emerged as one of the world's leading authorities on parenting and the impact of media on children's health and development, will be speaking on the topic of his latest national best-seller called "No: Why Kids-of All Ages-Need to Hear It" and Ways Parents Can Say It." The presentation is aimed at parents, educators and youth group leaders. It will be preceded at 5 p.m. by a Parent Resource Fair at which Fairview Lakes Health Services and various community agencies will share information on programs and services for children and families.
