John (Johnny) Marvin Becklin passed away unexpectedly on December 22, 2007, at the age of 46 years, as a result of an automobile accident. John was born on June 17, 1961 to Bill and Darlene Becklin in Braham, Minnesota. He attended Braham schools and began his career in construction at an early age. On May 17, 1980 he married Cindy Johnson (Yund) and of this union a daughter Danielle was born. Throughout his life John was known as an extremely hard worker and wonderful friend.

Johnny was a generous man who loved to make people smile. He had a great circle of friends and his contagious laugh and outgoing personality made him loved by many. He enjoyed spending summer days on the lake with his girlfriend Lori and riding his Harley. Johnny loved being out with his friends "visiting" and relaxing. He was excited to become a grandpa and little Grace brought such joy to his life. Johnny's faith in God grew stronger everyday and even though the Lord took him too soon, he will remain in our hearts forever.

Johnny is survived by his daughter Danielle of Isanti; granddaughter Grace; significant other Lori Werner of Rush City; father Bill Sr. of Stanchfield; brothers Bill Jr. and wife Larissa of Stanchfield; Dale and wife Robin of Grandy; Jimmy and wife Cheryl of Circle Pines; Kenny and wife Bonni of Cambridge; sister Jana and husband Tyler Treichel of Stanchfield; nieces and nephews Tiffany Schomel; Dustin Becklin; Grisha Severyukjin; Alyssa Becklin; Forrest Becklin; Eric Becklin; Kelly Becklin; Savanna Treichel; Anthony Becklin; Clinton Treichel; Marina Becklin; Katerina Becklin; Paulina Becklin; great niece and nephew Kelvin and Ahrianna; Godmother and aunt Ruthie Englund; Uncle Robert Sandy and wife Mary; and many other relatives and friends.

John is preceded in death by his mother Darlene (Sandy) Becklin, and two infant brothers Gary and Lonny.

A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 29, 2007 at the Cambridge Evangelical Lutheran Church of Cambridge with the Rev. Laurie O'Shea presiding. Music was provided by Danielle Becklin, Tim Ronning, Jon Ekstrom, and Mary Kay O'Neil. Casket Bearers were Billy Becklin, Dale Becklin, Jimmy Becklin, Kenny Becklin, Forrest Becklin, and Dusty Becklin. Honorary Casket Bearers were Tim Ronning, Richie Ronning, John Clark, Pat Mattson, Bob Nuorala, and Tom Madison. Interment was in the Cambridge Lutheran Cemetery. Arrangements were with the Rock-Ingebrand Funeral home of Braham.
