Early arrival becomes Fairview Lakes' first baby of 2008

The first baby of 2008, born at 4:56 a.m., Jan. 1, at Fairview Lakes Medical Center, Wyoming, is little Claire Elizabeth Tainter of Hugo. Claire, who was not due until Jan. 28, surprised her parents, Crystal and Jeremy Tainter, by arriving four weeks early. Claire weighed 5 lb. 14 oz. and is 18-1/2 inches long.
The Tainters and baby Claire received a large basket filled with gift items, gift certificates and a United States Savings Bond donated by area merchants and gathered by the Fairview Lakes Auxiliary. Auxiliary board member Mary Ann Cooper of Forest Lake presented the gift.
Baby Claire's mom, Crystal Tainter, is a physical therapist in the Acute Rehabilitation Department on the Riverside campus of University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis. Dad Jeremy is an information technology specialist. Claire's doctor is pediatrician Eileen Burchby, M.D., of Fairview Hugo Clinic. Crystal's doctors are Nancy Darling, M.D., family practice physician at Fairview Hugo Clinic, and Dr. Matt Anderson, obstetrician and gynecologist, Fairview Lakes Medical Center.
