When you're learning to ice skate, your legs just don't seem to want to cooperate, much like a young horse trying to stand on wobbly legs.

Christina Ochsenbauer, age 4, who was visiting her aunt in North Branch Saturday, had a lot of help as she tried to negotiate the slipper surface of the local rink.

Softly falling snowflakes made the day perfect for a winter's outing.
