The Chisago County Sheriff's Office is currently seeking candidates to comprise a volunteer reserve patrol. Applicants have until Jan. 25, 2008 to submit applications for the position.

Those who apply will have to submit to a background check and pass tests, and attend Reserve Deputy Academy in April. Interviews are scheduled to begin in February.

The kind of individual the Sheriff's Office is looking for can be found at the online job posting, "Candidates must have the ability to work various shifts, pass a background investigation and required testing. Examples of duties performed by candidates will be: traffic control, thin ice marking, boat landing checks, vacation home checks, canine training assists, crime prevention and many other tasks."
