Farm training coming to Mora Feb. 4
Posted: 1/9/08
The University of Minnesota will conduct 2008 Beef Cow/Calf Days Feb. 4 through Feb. 15, 2008, in 10 locations around the state.
The closest training session for Chisago County residents is in Mora Feb. 4, from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. at Fish Lake Resort
Presented by the University of Minnesota Extension Beef Team, the program is designed to provide beef producers with current information about new technologies and issues facing the industry.
Each location will feature a customized program tailored to the needs of producers in that part of the state. Also included at every location are core topics of interest statewide.
Core topics for this year's program are current updates on industry issues, grazing management strategies, heifer development and calf weaning management -- what do the feeders want.
The registration fee is $25 per family or farm. Registration is required at least one week in advance with the site coordinator.
