Brenda was born on May 31, 1956 at Pipestone, Minnesota to parents, Tunis and Fannie (Swier) DeJoode. She was raised in the Lake Wilson area graduating from Lake Wilson High School in 1974. Brenda received an Associate Degree in Christian Ministries from Crown College.
She worked for IDS as a director of Information Technologies.
She married Mark Main on October 5, 1991 at Marks’ parent’s home in Plymouth.
Brenda loved cooking, baking and sewing as well as her love of Beagle dogs which were her children.
Most importantly she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, reading her Bible and listening to Billy Graham.
Christmas was also one of the most important joys in her life and she truly loved the beauty that surrounded this special holiday.
Brenda is survived by her husband, Mark; mother, Fannie DeJoode of Cambridge; sister, Vivian (Bernie) Cowan of Isanti; brothers, Allen (Joan) DeJoode of Elizabethton, Tenn., and Curtis (Vanessa) DeJoode of Round Mountain, Nev.; nephews, Grant, Chris, Joshua and David, as well as her dog, Jasper.
She is preceded in death by her father, Tunis.
Funeral services were held at noon on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Grandstrand Funeral Home in North Branch with Rev. Don Matheson officiating. Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Interment followed the service at Kahbakong Cemetery at Taylors Falls.
Serving as casket bearers are Mark Main, Bernie Cowan, Gerald DeJoode, Allen DeJoode, Curt DeJoode and Timothy Roseth.
