Comic storyteller ‘Viktoria Borgessen’ to perform at NB senior center
The Chisago County We “R” Able Support Group invites all for a Coffee Time Concert featuring comic storyteller Viktoria Borgessen at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 18 at the Chisago County Senior Center in North Branch.
Borgessen, aka Marilyn McGriff from Cambridge, mirrors Viktor Borge with jokes and commentary, interspersed with music on the nyckelharpa, a medieval Swedish instrument, or keyed fiddle.
We “R” Able coordinator Valorie Arrowsmith says, “All are welcome, and donations ($5-$7) are cheerfully accepted. Join us for an afternoon of good cheer and forget about the cold weather for an hour.” Refreshments are served.
We R Able provides programs for adults with disabilities in a four-school district area: Pine City, Rush City, North Branch, and Chisago Lakes. All programs are accessible and open to the general public. For more information call 320-358-1210.
