Ethel was born on April 20, 1918 at North Branch to Edward and Ella (Peterson) Dahl. Ethel was baptized in the Lutheran Church at North Branch in Swedish by Rev. Hamburg and also was confirmed in the same church.
She married Alvin Priebe on September 21, 1940 and lived on a farm southwest of North Branch.
She loved baking, gardening and raising flowers. She was known for walking the farm three times a day with her walking stick and the cat at her heels.
Ethel entered Green Acres in December of 2005 and then moved into the Villages of North Branch when it opened in July of 2007.
Ethel is survived by her husband, Alvin; brother, Irvin Dahl of Minneapolis and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Ella, brothers, Henry Dahl and Arnold Dahl; sisters, Edith Duncan and Violet Koeman.
Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. on Monday, January 2, 2012 at the Ecumen North Branch Chapel with Pastor Richard Mork officiating. Music was provided by Phyllis Keating.
Visitation was held one hour prior to the service at the Ecumen Chapel.
Interment followed the service at St. John Lutheran Cemetery at Weber.
Serving as casket bearers were Mark Walter, Bob Heavirland, Donald Szymanski, Jason Sandquist, Mike Humphrey, Brian Thunstrom and Lee Thunstrom.
