Jacobson Elementary students learn how pennies can aid in cancer research

Students at Jacobson Elementary are participating in The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Pennies for Patients program, a community service project where students donate their spare change to fund blood cancer research and patient aid programs.

Pennies for Patients has a double benefit in that it allows students to develop compassion and learn the value of helping others while they are working for a cause that helps save lives.

Students will be collecting money for the Pennies for Patients program Jan. 23 – Feb. 10.  If you are interested in making a donation, go to the school’s link http://mn.sy.llsevent.org/CEJacobsonElementarySchool, collection containers will be in the elementary office, or you can contact Kim at 358-4724.
