A CD-based youth snowmobile course will be offered from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 28 at Chucker’s Bowl, 1270 W. 3rd St., in Rush City.
Participants must be age 11 before the class start date and should obtain and study the safety information on the interactive CD at their own pace. The CD may take about two to four hours to complete.
Upon completion of the CD, students should print out a “voucher of completion” and bring it to class. The one-day class includes classroom review of priority safety information, a visit from a local conservation officer and a performance driving course at the Chisago County Fairgrounds in Rush City.
The class fee is $5 and will be collected the day of class. Checks must be made payable to the Department of Natural Resources.
Note: You will not be allowed to participate in the classroom review or performance test unless you have first completed the youth snowmobile safety CD. To obtain the CD or for general information, call 1-888-646-6367, 651-296-6157 or 1-800-366-8917. Or, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org.
