The Fairview Lakes Auxiliary invites high school seniors and returning adult students, who are pursuing a career in health care and live in the area served by Fairview Lakes Medical Center, to apply now for one of 17 scholarships available through the auxiliary. Applications must be submitted on or before March 31. (A complete list of the available scholarships may be viewed online.)
These scholarship grants are available to qualified candidates planning a career in a medical field. Applicants must be high school graduates (or anticipated to graduate in spring 2012) attending or planning to attend an accredited school and must live in the area bounded by Pine City on the north, Lino Lakes/Hugo on the south, Hwy. 65 on the west and the Wisconsin border on the east. Fairview Lakes’ employees and their children are eligible to apply regardless of residence.
Judging will be based on scholastic achievement, a 250-word essay describing the applicant’s motivation and career goals, experience and/or exposure to health care, and financial need. Applicants must provide two letters of reference and be able to demonstrate good character, dependability, and academic achievement.
For more information, contact Carla Norelius at 651-257-8806 or email@example.com. To obtain an application form online, go to www.fairview.org/lakes/auxiliary. Completed applications, essays and letters of reference may be returned electronically to firstname.lastname@example.org or sent by U.S. mail to: Carla Norelius, 11725 Stinson Avenue, Chisago City, MN 55013.
