He was born in Rock Creek, Minn., October 13, 1935.
He was preceded in death by parents Orman and Maymie Beecher, brother Everett and grandson Jeremy.
He is survived by loving wife Carol, daughters Renee (Kasey) Carlson, Sheila Frank and Cheryl (Joseph) Mancusi, grandchildren Justin (Sarah) Carlson, Briona (Michael) VanAlst, Michael (Lori) Frank, Kalie Frank, Michael J. Mancusi and five great-grandchildren, brothers Orman (Joyce) and Virgil (Gloria), and many nieces and nephews.
Marvin was raised in Rush City and attended Rush City Public School.
He lived most of his married life in Shoreview, Minn. He had several jobs, but spent many years at the YMCA, St. Paul and Chisago County as a building and grounds manager.
He always enjoyed working and those he worked with.
His favorite places to be were Pathfinder Village, Hinckley, where he owned a lot, or camping. Many good times will be remembered by family and friends. His family (including extended family) always was most important in his life.
He always had time for them.
He will be sadly missed by family and friends.
Memorial service will be held in the summer. Announcement to come later.
